The long awaited installation of our first magnet cryostat took place in the beginning of May. The installation, testing and training went perfectly smooth – a big thanks to Ricardo and the whole team for the great work! We can now reach temperatures below 2 K and magnetic fields up to 17 T. Our work on the development of a new container for high-temperature solution growth of alkali-containing compounds has been published in Crystals! Growing single crystals rich in alkali-metals is a challenge that was successfully tackled by Jutta Püttmann in her master's thesis.
